A HOT 4th of July in Topeka 2014

The 4th of July in Topeka is a celebration you don’t want to miss! Spend your day at Lake Shawnee and enjoy a variety of activities and events such as food vendors, a crafts festival, Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival- a free music festival, car and motorcycle show, water ski show and the famous Lake Shawnee fireworks display.

The Crafts Festival will also feature free activities and games for the kiddos. The festival begins at 10 a.m.

The Spirit of Kansas Blues Festival will begin at noon and last until 9 p.m. Don’t forget your cooler and lawn chair.

The Water Ski Show happens at the Northeast end of the Lake beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The 26-minute firework display will being at 10 p.m. Attendees can tune into Country Legends 106.9 to hear patriotic music while watching the sky light up.Inside-of-Flyer-Proof-2

    For general directions, Lake Shawnee is located in Southeast Topeka on 29th and Croco. It can be easily accessed from I-70 or California Street in Topeka.
